The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center, a large tertiary academic medical center located in downtown Chicago, seeks a full-time cardiac surgeon to join its team.
Qualified candidates are required to have completed an approved fellowship program, and expertise in heart failure and high risk cardiac surgery, mechanical circulatory support device surgery, cardiac valvular repair & replacement, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and aortic aneurysm surgeries is highly desired. Ideal candidates will be able to coordinate cardiac surgery and all cardiovascular efforts across the institution and our affiliates, and have a demonstrated commitment to research, teaching and mentorship/administration. The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills and be an established cardiac surgeon. Candidates should be eligible for a faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
